Office/Warehouse Assistant
About the role.

Full-time (40hrs pw)
£16k p.a
9am-5pm
Kingston Bagpuize
Must be aged 18 or over

Oxford Vapours are looking for an assistant to help in the day-to-day running of our office/warehouse in Kingston Bagpuize.
Supported by the online manager & procurement manager, the office/warehouse assistant will be involved in online order fulfilment, stock management, content creation and customer services.

What we need from you.

We are looking for an organised & motivated individual with a can-do attitude who can bring energy to the office, roll up their sleeves and get stuck in with the wide-range of tasks involved in the running of our website and management of the stock that supplies our high-street shops.

Keeping the office and warehouse clean, tidy and organised, fulfilling online orders and processing stock will be the basic responsibilities. In addition to this you will be involved in content creation for the website, answering the phone and directing enquiries, serving ‘click-and-collect’ customers and generating social media content. Tasks in this role change on a daily basis, so a quick-learning, flexible nature is required. You will also need to be comfortable and proficient with computers for the development path we have planned for this role.

No specific qualifications are required but evidence of application in education is beneficial, as is a record of previous employment. Skills in desktop publishing and photography/design applications would be a real plus.

This role would be well suited to someone looking to learn the ins and outs of e-commerce, warehouse management and stock logistics.

Details.

All necessary training will be supplied and a course for ongoing development will be set.

This role has a very clear internal career path for the right person, we would like to train the successful candidate to be able to take on management of website operations within 12-18 months.

Independent transport to our office in Kingston Bagpuize is essential and it is not the best connected by public transport – please check this to make sure you can make the journey on a daily basis before applying.


Social Media Marketing Assistant

Oxford Vapours are looking for a Social Media Assistant to help grow our presence across Instagram, SnapChat, Facebook & Twitter for Oxford Vapours™ & our new brand Ohm Boy E-Liquids™, taking our content creation & engagement to the next level.

Supported by the Online Manager & the rest of the team, the Social Media Marketing Assistant will schedule & publish a steady, manageable & consistent stream of high-standard content & offer reliable engagement & support to our audience.

What we need from you.

We are looking for an organised & motivated individual who can bring creative ideas to the table, add value to our current activity & be confident & competent enough to take direction & generate content independently, using the logos, typography & imagery that make up our brands.

Good written communication skills & understanding of tone of voice are necessary, as well as a good eye for aesthetic detail & high competency with a photo/text editing app.

No formal qualifications are required. We are more interested in a candidate that can show evidence of engaging social media activity, an understanding of marketing in the social space & examples of text & image layout that prove a basic understanding of visual composition – we will test this bit with a simple task during the application process.

This role would be well suited to someone studying a relevant qualification, looking for experience to build a portfolio of successful work to kick-start a career in social media, marketing or design.

Details.

Desktop & Mobile photo/text editing software will be supplied as well as a device if necessary.

We use Affinity Designer for graphics, Google Drive for file organisation/sharing & Google Hangouts for responsive communication, some familiarity with these will be a plus.

We envisage this role strategically split over 3hrs per day, to offer our audience support in the morning, afternoon & evening. We will work with the successful candidate to put together a plan of deliverables & a schedule for completion. We would like to find someone we can trust with these responsibilities – for that person, exactly how & when they do it is flexible.

We would like the right candidate to check in with us at our office in Kingston Bagpuize once every week or so to keep in touch. Some occasional travel between our local stores will also be required to capture content with the staff/customers. Reasonable travel expenses covered.

In addition to a basic salary, targets will be set for audience growth, engagement & e-commerce traffic that will give you the opportunity to earn additional income.

If successful, there is scope for this role to grow & adapt in terms of responsibility & hours.
